Orange spans hue 15°–45°, the tertiary family between Red and Yellow, with 1,398,016 RGB colors. Amber, rust, terracotta, apricot and tan all live here. Its centre is #FF8000. This is the register's busiest family by named colors, largely because so many earth pigments and skin tones fall inside it.
